Framework Example Structure

Below is the structure for PECRA Framework. Your example should follow this structure while applying it to a specific use case.

Purpose:

Define why you are making this request and the ultimate goal

Expectation:

Specify the type of response or result you want

Context:

Provide the background information the AI needs

Request:

State exactly what you want the AI to do

Action:

Define how the task should be executed or presented

Example Prompt:

Purpose: I need to evaluate three cloud migration vendors to present a recommendation to the CTO by Friday. Expectation: A structured comparison matrix with scoring criteria, cost analysis, and a clear recommendation with supporting rationale. Context: We are a 200-person fintech company currently running on-premise infrastructure. We process 50,000 transactions daily and must maintain PCI DSS compliance throughout migration. Our budget is $400K for the first year. Request: Compare AWS, Azure, and GCP migration services for our use case, scoring each on cost, compliance support, migration tooling, and post-migration support. Action: Present the comparison as a scored matrix (1-10 scale), followed by a cost breakdown table, then a one-paragraph recommendation I can paste directly into my executive summary.
